Bruno, As it turns out, all I had to do was enter this as my username when asked for it during the join-domain process:
"nesbitt.local\administrator" Up until now, I had just been using "administrator". GEEESH, How simplistic can it be? Something that small caused me days, no a WEEK of grief!
