Chuck,

  Try setting Max Print Jobs = 0 (unlimited),
restart samba, then run "testparm -x" to
see if the change took effect.

NOTE:  I just changed the value, and ran
"testparm -x" without restarting samba,
and the value changed from the default
of 1000 to 0.  I'd still restart, just
to be sure the running daemon reread
smb.conf.
