Im back everyone.
Something I just noticed today and im not sure how to fix it:

I setup our PDC running Samba 2.2.8a with OpenLDAP 2.0.27 on the backend to hold user accounts.
By default, when I add users to our PDC, they are added to the domain users group. I then add them to whatever else groups I want them to be in.
Everything has been working great.

Well, today I went to one of my clients PC's to change their DNS server that they point to. Since they do not have many privileges to do that, I was unable to change it while logged in with that user.

As I started to think, I started to wonder how I was going to do this and im not sure exactly how or what would be the best way to go about fixing this.

Here is what I thought:

I can log in with the local administrator account and change their DNS server settings. Then while still logged in locally, I can copy the users profile to the location where their profile for the domain is.
But that is a lot of step and work to do that.

Does anyone know of a way to get around this, or something to do to remedy this?

Thanks.

Jason
