Yes, I've done it. There are some tricks to get Red Hat 9 to talk to Win 2k3 (having to do with the MIT Kerberos libraries) if that's your distro of choice. The big trick is to ensure that your Active Directory is running in Native Mode - NOT Native 2003 Mode (won't work). Keep in mind that, if you have already upgraded to Native 2003 mode, you can't revert to Native mode (AFAIK).
