Hi Steven, there is nothing special - if your Solaris has libsendfile-Support. Second you need the MIT-Kerberos since the Sun Kerberos doesn't provide any headerfiles. Compile Samba with your needs and be happy.
If you are happy with 3.0.0 you can use the (Sparc) binary Package from http://www.millenux.com/~jschmidt/samba/solaris/8/ This package has cups and kerberos support statically compiled in. The Installation Base is /opt/samba3 I think i will compile 3.0.2pre1 this weekend on solaris 8. If you want i can inform you when the binaries are out.
