(samba 3.0.2a via RPM, ADS, SuSE 9)
Every day Windbind stops responding, although the process is active.
When this happens, getent passwd returns just local users, and wbinfo -u returns "Error looking up domain users"
If i 'reload' winbind, nothing changes, but if I 'restart' it, it works again, for another day.
If "for another day" means 10 hours (precisely) then this issue has been addressed in 3.0.3pre2 (bug #1208 on bugzilla.samba.org)... Should be even better in 3.0.3rc1.
I've had this exact issue and saw it go away as I moved to pre2!
