Seems that the update from 3.0.2(a) to 3.0.(3|4) is a tough one. I just experienced a similar problem (except mine was a bit more reproducible. I ended up have to remove every tbd. (Basically I removed samba, purged, re-installed) and re-joined everything to the domain. All is good so far. I confirmed that I did not need to restart it to get things to work good again. So, good luck re-doing the domain setup (don't forget to keep a copy of smb.conf as you can just re-use it). One tidbit: START with 3.0.4. When you join the 2K/XP machines to the domain, samba will reject it the first try, try once again right after it rejects it, and you will be welcomed to your domain. -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] REMEMBER ED CURRY! http://www.iwethey.org/ed_curry Novell's Directory Services is a competitive product to Microsoft's Active Directory in much the same way that the Saturn V is a competitive product to those dinky little model rockets that kids light off down at the playfield. -- Thane Walkup
