On this system that I'm testing with, I don't have a [printers] section defined. I'm using 'bsd' printing, as shown in the definition of my printer, since I'm just passing the print data through a script.
And yes, I've tried adding root to the write list and connecting as root, but it still fails in the same place, can't show me the properties window. I do appreciate your help on this issue.
