Right now the test system is using the old smbpasswd back end and is set for "security = user" - it is currently functioning as a PDC for the a test domain.
And system users are coming froooooom? /etc/passwd and /etc/group or something else? That's really the proper question (my bad for asking too many and not all relevant)
