Hi again, I just wanted to share with you what i did to make my samba server show up as a workstation/server. Im not sure why this even makes a difference but before when joining the domain i used:
"kinit [EMAIL PROTECTED]" "net ads join" That added my server as a domain controller. However when i use the following notation: net rpc -S dc join -U username When i did that my samba machine was added as a workstation/server. However now i notice there is nothing in the DNS name when searched under active directory. I'm not sure this makes much of a difference but i'll play with that a little bit to see if i can find a way around that as well. Hope that helps.
