I'm sorry... looking at the /etc/fstab file I found this:Excellent. The only missing piece I would guess, is to make sure that your samba install contains ACL support. I'd be really surprised if SuSE didn't compile it in, distros seem to enable every option in case you may need it some day. My output looks as follows:
/dev/hda6 /software ext3 acl,user_xattr 1 2
I guess this means I already have ACL support, right? (Please! Tell me I do!!)
Now, the question is: where can I find documentation about this and what
I'm trying to do?
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# smbd -b |grep ACL HAVE_SYS_ACL_H HAVE_POSIX_ACLS
I believe that's all you need. Beyond that, make sure you don't have any explicit denys in your smb.conf with regard to ACLs.
