It was pointed out to me that this is already implemented.
$ man pam_winbind
for details. Silly me, I had previously only looked in the winbind manual.
It appears it found it's way into the manual before the code got
finished. It's a small patch, and I was sure I finished and committed
it, but apparently it never quite made it.
Would it be too much trouble to post the (small) patch? I'm anxious to
try it.
