Hello -

Ive recently upgraded our SMB server to 3.0.14.a. I cant go on about how great this build has been for us. Thanks again to the fine folks who support these releases. Ok my problem...

This is the errors users get when they go to try and change the SMB password for them. They log to the SMB server and from % cd over to /opt/samba/bin and run just "smbpasswd"

The password chat is working the get the following:

Old SMB password:

New SMB password:

Retype new SMB password:

Upon retyping the last password entry, SMB throws the following error.

machine 127.0.0.1 rejected the (anonymous) password change: Error was : Wrong Password.
Failed to change password for gillp

Am I doing something wrong? Ive looked around a bit and found there might be an issue when using hosts allow =

I commented this out and tested it and it doesnt seem to make much difference.

Thank you in advance for your help.

TJ
