I would like to prevent access to a whole folder and its contents with a password or something like that. Is it possible? This is for sensitive information and I would like to avoid to set up a password for each document contained inside this repository, present inside a user profile.
From the linux adm point of view, if also the sys admins have not to
be able to view the contents of the files, which kind of possibilities do I have? Encryption of file system? Could it be done on a folder basis or only at file system level? How do you manage sensitive information (es. salaries positions or others) distributed across smb?
