Jeremy, Andrew I think from the context that Andrew has already tried that - at work we have decided that Vista simply isn't worth the hassle now. We can't even manage to get Vista on a new laptop to get an IP address from DHCP, never mind connect to our Samba DC! Everything else can get an IP (3com and Cisco switches, Mitel IP phones, XP, Solaris, *BSD, etc). Something is fundamentally broken in Vista's network stack IMHO.
