Hi Gunter,
Great reference! My wins.dat is located in /var/lock/samba/wins.dat
and it is full of stuff (and now I know where it is located, so I
can back it up).
Also, wins.dat populates itself. (Much easier than bind, which
required "vi" to administrate.)
