I had the same problem you hardware is not guilty, the problem is: the server DHCP find a dnsSERVER of you ISP automatly but , when you turn it off you DHCP all you network is not ready to resolve a ip of domain , you have to fill a dnsSERVER of the client whit you ISP-dnsSERVER if you want do a test an try to conect using a ip of any domain!!!!
