That was my first thought yesterday, but the requesting IP is not in the same class as the search engine's. Another option might be that it is a local copy of a search engine. I know a couple of the larger search engines used to offer downloadable copies of the engine to run as local copies. I don't know if any still do that though. Could it also be the search engine coming through a proxy - would this explain the IP variance?
