Web Folders is a client component of Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 (not included with IE6). To disable it, you will need to remove it from the client PCs.

Remove Web Folders Icon
If you install Internet Explorer 5, and choose to install Web Folders (using the Customize option), you will see a new (Web Folders) icon in My Computer. Now when you uninstall Internet Explorer 5, Web Folders is not removed and can not be removed (uninstalled) separately.
Here is how to remove the Web Folders icon:
1. Start the Registry Editor
2. Remove this registry key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{BDEADF00-C265-11d0-BCED-00A0C90AB50F}
To be able to restore the Web Folders icon, make a backup of the key firs. To do this, select the key, and choose Export Registry File from the Registry menu in the Registry Editor
3. Exit the Registry Editor
If you do not have control over the client PCs and do not want Web Folders used on your server, you will need to disable WebDAV (this is one of the requirements to use Wef Folders - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q195851).

Subject: [sambar] WebFolders Problem {01}
Does anyone know how to turn WebFolders off, or is it going to have an option to disable it in the future? I host websites on my server, and I noticed that once logged in, anyone can view the entire directory structure of the docs directory.
I also logged in using someone's account, and I was able to add/delete items in someone else's directory.
