Bridge proxy is normally not required. All you need to do is to enable "act as
proxy server" from the proxy configuration page, or edit the config.ini file with the
entry:
[http]
Act As HTTP Proxy = true

Now, in your client browser settings, make sure that you set up proxies that point to
the Sambar server name or IP and port (normally port 80).

Greetings all! (sorry if you've already seen this)

I have been using Sambar Server for a couple of years now as a simple
webserver in a existing network environment.

NOW . . .

I'm trying to set up a LAN and Sambar Server on the same machine using two
NIC's.

One is connected to Cox Bus Service via cable modem and I want this to act
as the connection to the outside world. This connection will support serving
webpages and will provide internet access to the rest of the system.

The other NIC is to connect the machine to a LAN (which I want this same
machine to establish).

I have the first NIC set to the static IP provided by the ISP. The second
NIC I have set to 192.168.0.1.

The LAN is working and the outside connection is working, but connection on
the LAN can't get out and Sambar only serves to the LAN, not to the outside
world. From what I've read, a Bridge Proxy is what I need. Can you gurus
give me a brief lesson on how to do this. I've tried several things but I
think I'm getting my IP's confused. Thanks for your help folks.
