I was aware. I remove all "mailto" tags from the archived msgs as do most
other list archivers so spambots don't get what they're looking for.
As extra safety measure, I've implemented Wpoison which does a great job of
misleading these bots and often see them caught in a loop for hours till the
bot operators stop the sessions.
I check the logs regularly for archive bot activity and I don't see Google
as an enemy while others easily reach that status but usually give up pretty
fast.
In worst of cases I'd be forced to password protect the archives which would
be a pain.
