When configuring the Sambar dbms, there are a number of parameters that can be tweaked. Some of these offer default values. For example:
Maximum Used Connections = 5 (default) What are the issues for increasing this number, and to what limits? Minimum Free Connections = 1 (default) What are the issues for increasing this number, what are the limits, and what relationship does this have to Maximum Used Connections? Maximum Idle Period (minutes) = 10 (default) What are the issues for increasing or decreasing this time, what are the limits, and what relationship does this have to Maximum Used Connections and Minimum Free Connections? What tweaks can be made in the ODBC administration for page timeout to get better performance out of the Sambar dbms configurations? Thanks for your input.
