I did the same thing once. Left one open so folks could just use it if they
needed to. Nice guy syndrome. I learned real quick..
That was several years ago, but I think I ftp'd into it and could then
delete it.

I probably deserve a scolding, but I leave an FTP directory open to
anonymous uploaders. Well, someone put a directory in there with control
characters in the directory name (see attachment, or if that doesn't make it
through, it looks like g"��}"� in Windows Explorer) and I can't get rid
of it! I've tried renaming, deleting, and removing in Windows. I've tried
booting with an MS-DOS floppy and running DEL g*, RD g*, DELTREE g* and
nothing works! For what it's worth, I suspect that the first character is a
non-printable character and not "g", but I don't really know.
Anyway, how can I delete that folder?
