Hi Rodney, I was having a lockup problem with the fetchers and the mail server. I have solved the problem by adding another thread to the mta router like this:
Maximum MTA Routers = 2 After talking to Tod, he said that I should be running 5 threads for a production server. Granted, I only use my mail server for myself and my wife, I do get a lot of emails. 500-1000 per day. Increasing the threads has stopped my lockup problems so far. Couldn't hurt..... Hope it works for you also. I just unsubscribed because after running that kind of volume plus my other mail services, when you'd go to check your mail, sambar would get stuck either on "connecting" or authorizing. The log shows the connection times out. This is on a 128k isdn connection. (Two more weeks before t1 is installed) Have you suggestions? machine is a 1.8ghz with a gig of ram etc.. I turned off loggin of most mail stuff. Is the speed of connection the problem? Machine not closing connections? Where to look?
