Hi Rodney.
Sonia`s instructions were to make a bat file in notepad and save as "update .bat"
place in "C:\scan\admin\update\bin" where "C" is your drive letter. To make the bat
file, in notepad insert as follows:
cd \scan\admin\update\bin
av.exe
and save as "update.bat"
In the cron section of sambar add the cron as needed. My schedule.ini is as follows:
following. Well the part under cron anyway:
# scheduler.ini
# Last modified: Mon, 04 Nov 2002 17:21:06
[hourly]
[daily]
[weekly]
[monthly]
[cron]
0 7 * * * c:\scan\admin\update\bin\update.bat c:\scan\admin\update\bin\av.exe &
This updates at 0700hrs daily. No dos window shows as it does with windows scheduled
tasks.
Hope this helps
