Although Im not gonna give IE any slack here as it has shown to many holes in the past in addition to outlook express but sadly I think cutting off html messages is going to generate more support calls than spam as most of these email clients are set by default to send as html format.. Only us technical few chose/dissallow the overhead on list servers.. As for regular mailboxes, I think your asking for trouble..
