I have my Sambar Server v5.2 running on my computer from port 8080 and 8021
for HTTP and FTP respectively, as I have a IIS5 server running on ports 21
and 80 for FTP and HTTP. I use the Sambar Server on this machine because it
is connected to the internet and I can use the proxies so that I can access
the web via IE and NS from any computer on my network. This was simple to
setup, but now I'm trying to setup WS_FTP 7 so that it can upload/download
from any computer to my website I have running and this is where I'm running
into problems. I really don't understand what the documentation is saying:
<documentation>
The Sambar server can proxy for FTP clients in addition to browser clients
(as outlined in the section above). The native FTP proxy support allows FTP
clients that can proxy using the USER user@host proxy capability. The native
FTP proxy operates by stripping the host from the USER login field and then
connecting to the FTP server at that host site and acting as a proxy between
the client and server. The FTP Host being connected to must run on port 21
and can use either standard or PASV transfers.
</documentation>

I can see the commands that are being sent on WS_FTP and it seems to be
trying to connect to the 8021 port and login to the Sambar FTP Server. Not
sure what settings I'm supposed to be using. The 'Site' that is saved has
the host as the server I want to connect to, with the proper user name and
password entered. Then I have a 'Firewall' setup as the hostname of the
computer running Sambar with the correct port of 8021 set for the FTP Proxy.
Any help would be much appreciated.
