With Sambar vs 5.2 you may encounter some difficulties trying to FTP into vhost's. I
would recommend setting up a non v-host first so you know how it works. The PASV in
the documentation refers to "Passive Transfers" and on my version of WS-FTP it's found
on the Advanced tab. Anyway, setup a user called anonymous (with no password). Make
sure you only give this user read only access and set a limit on the directory. Set
the directory to point to C:\sambar52\docs\ftp\ just for starters. Then go in and
create the real directory in the same place with the same name. Put some files into
this directory. then put anonymous into the username of WS-FTP and nothing into the
password. Try logging in using PASV or not and you'll learn what works and what does
not.

You will probably have to update to the very latest beta version of Sambar to be able
to allow a user like [EMAIL PROTECTED] to be able to FTP into a directory.
