DNS change has not reached Comcast yet. I have made changes that took up to
4 days to completely replicate. I would give it a day or two.

Subject: [sambar] Sambar and DNS?

I have Sambar 53 running on a WinXP Pro system but have one problem
that I would love to resolve.

We just had to switch to Comcast and now have a dynamic IP address. I
am using ZoneEdit.com to keep the IP address updated for DNS. It
appears to be working, in that my website
(www.sumbler.com) can be reached by most folks. I was at
work today and able to surf the site without a hitch.

The problem is when I attempt to hit sumbler.com from home. As of
right now, I get a "Cannot Find Server" error... If I enter the
numeric IP (http://12.210.100.120/) address, I can view
the site, but the domain name isn't resolving from my own machine.
Obviously, localhost works too...

Is this something with Sambar??? Or a Comcast problem? Or just the
fact that not every DNS server is updated with the new IP? It makes
it difficult to see if changes to the site are working, links don't
connect, etc...

Any ideas out there in Sambar-land?
