:-) Okay Neils, I've put you off long enough; give me a couple hours to
write it. I'm actually working this week! :)) I've also come up with some
related toys lately that I'll send you. I'll send them to you too John.
Anyone else - contact me off list.

Hello,

James,

About the scripts u have done for the sambar system, is it possible to

make

a script
where a user can delete him self from the system.

I have used the first script u made for a time, but also need a way to

dele

user.

Rg,
NRP

I don't use the telnet, but I'm not so sure you can do that. At best

you

should try creating the file in the same directory and then copying it

to

the destination; or do it locally and upload it.
If you don't specify a password file in htaccess it will use Sambar's
password file... you might do that until you get to the machine.

If you're going to be doing a lot of that contact me - I have some

scripts

that will help.

I need some assistance with creating a .htaccess file for a

webpage that I

need to have user authenticated. I've gone through everything in

the

Sambar

documents and even found information on the net, but nothing is

really

helping.

I tried logging into my server through telnet and ran the command:
htpasswd -c E:\folder\folder2\folder3 user, to which the

prompt went from
a

"server>" prompt to a "foserver>" prompt. I was expecting a prompt

for

password as Sambar states, but entering a password only got a "bad

command:

password" statement and back to the "server>" prompt.

I also tried running the sacrypt from the terminal, but did no

better.

Could someone please help out this noob find his way to the secure

promised

land? Thanks.
