Yes, I'm experiencing problems with M$N since a few days, not running anything through sambar. I believe it's MAN willing to deploy their silly piece of software instead of having other clients use theier "service". I personally use Trillian from www.ceruleanstudios.com.
I'd adivce you to switch away from service offered by a company such as M$ is one. Their Messenger service is no longer reliable IMHO.
