Dave,
I don't know how the Sambar email works, but most SMTP servers only need
a single IP address. I have well over 100 domains with Sambar as the Web
hosting application and MDaemon as the Email server (you can't beat MDaemon
with *anything* out there -- www.alt-n.com) and my ISP hasn't got a clue how
many domains I support. To make my life even easier, I do my own primary
DNS using SimpleDNS as well. I'd have to think that Sambar is capable of
multiple email domains on a single IP, but if not, you should look one that
does. The interesting thing about this, I'll bet you that your phone
company doesn't pay a cent for their block of addresses....what a scam! ;)

Subject: [sambar] DNS with a static IP

I was informed today that my telephone company will be charging me $5 per
month for each and every Domain which I have on my server. Needless to say,
I'm exploring the possibilities rather than pay a fee like that. I'm running
Windows 2000 Server and have a static IP. I use a DSL line (HDSL) 500K with
a Linksys DSL router.

I'm considering using managed DNS with hopefully e-mail backup since I run
the Sambar SMTP with 5 MTA's.

Could anyone recommend a particular Service? I'm located in Massachusetts
which is in the Northeastern area of the United States. I'd like to use a
service not too far away, if possible.
