thanks Anil... my first steps with Sambar & SMTP :-) what drove me nuts was the '%' can it be that if one of the DNS servers is not reachable Sambar won't resolve? in this case the secondary was gone, non-existing and Sambar said nothing... not pretty As soon as I had a second DNS in there it worked.
