Mail Deny section is even WORST in this case. I have a know spammer whose mail server is mis-configured. (definetly)
Every attempt to connect to my mail server, gets cut off by the mail deny section. Which appers to the spammers mail server as a lost connection. Therefore it tries again and again. At least with the RBL, a mesage is sent back to the spammers mail server before closing the connection. anil "Dave Culbertson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Does anyone have a software tool to allow a ranking of the IP's attempting to deliver mail to a site? My reason for asking is that my SMTP log has grown to over 40 meg in the past 6 days. It would be a good thing to be able to easily identify the worst offenders hitting your RBL's and simply add them to your Mail Deny section. > > Dave Culbertson > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe please go to http://www.sambar.ch/list/ > > > ------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe please go to http://www.sambar.ch/list/
