I like the potential of web dav and feel I need to continue its use. So I'm once again faced with my problem. First of all, the documents manager works seamlessly for all user logins with their very own subdirectory in the "docs" directory. No problem here.
However, when you select "web folders" in the desktop login screen for a user, the browser fails and reports an error. Funny, this only occurs for users who are assigned a subdirectory in the "docs" directory. If you go to the user management screen and change the user's directory to "docs", then web dav will work for that user! What gives. I don't want the user to have full docs access. I want him/her to have access to their assigned directory only. Any ideas out there. I'll be happy to provide a login for testing.
