I see an increasing need to allow users to "mount" their directory on my server to their desktops. I plan to provide a base for data sharing among several of our clients. This may not be possible if the "Web Folders" login doesn't work for users with full FTP rights (read, write) to their sub directory i.e. "d:\sambar\docs\username".
Seems Sambar webdav will only allow users to gain access if their directory is set up to be "d:\sambar\docs\. I know, since I tried it with my administrative login and another login I reserve for access to the "docs" directory. These logins work without a hitch. Anyone else is cheese. Of course, I would never allow this level of access to other users since so much critical data exists in the "docs" directory i.e., the whole enchilada. Anyway, someone out there must have run into this limitation. Surely, Todd has foreseen this and has some suggestions?? I am using Sambar Pro Version 6, but this has also a problem when I used version 5. ------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe please go to http://www.sambar.ch/list/
