I need help with the following problem.
We use Sambar for years, utilizing several providers (dyn.IP) including cable. We use mailproxy so all clients can retrieve their mail from their own provider-mailboxes AND we use webmail only as a common mail up-transportchannel (no MTA) and therefore enabling smtp security, preventing relay and pipe it direct to the ISP Recently we changed to another provider with static ip 67.234.224.41. But now a problem occurs when the server tries to send mail from the spooler. After the [DATA] command the provider returns 354 with the End mail guideline. But thereafter nothing happens anymore until after 5 minutes of inactivity sambar stops the transport and sambar transfers the mail to the failure box. Using the same config files and changing only the smtp addres, I tried again to our previous provider and mail is send from the spooler without any problem. Extensive searching logfiles with the (outstanding) help of the providers helpdesk did not help us in finding the reason for the data stream to stuck. Sending mail directly from our server_machine (NT), bypassing the sambar proxy and webmail works fine so our ISP stops checking because that's all they (can) check.
