Does it have a network port ? Does Windows recognize the scanner
automatically ? Try to capture these initial conversations.

I have done some analysis of the data stream as well which I will share perhaps tomorrow. Going out tonight. :)

I'm hoping that someone can recognise the protocol as something we already support. If not, I'm quite happy to do a new backend, but I would like to try to avoid that. This is quite an old scanner (2007 I think). It doesn't look to have anything Genesys related in it.
It certainly looks a lot different to GL646 that I have seen.

I have managed to detect retrievals of button pushes but I'm just trying to suss out the run up to it to get context. The scans on Google Drive above contain a lot of USB polling noise. There is a constant conversation with the scanner even when nothing is happening. Almost certainly this is about monitoring the various sensors but I could not find a way to switch it off which would make it easier to follow an actual scan.

Cheers,
Ralph
