well.. on my system scanimage -d /dev/bus/usb/001/007 does not really work either. it gives:
scanimage: open of device /dev/bus/usb/001/007 failed: Invalid argument You seem to have specified a UNIX device name, or filename instead of selecting the SANE scanner or image acquisition device you want to use. As an example, you might want "epson:/dev/sg0" or "hp:/dev/usbscanner0". If any supported devices are installed in your system, you should be able to see a list with "scanimage --list-devices". maybe this is now the way how you can interact with scanner devices. jose On Fri, Aug 6, 2021 at 2:37 PM Heinz Rohde via sane-devel < [email protected]> wrote: > Hello, > > I created a symlink via udev rule calles MyScanner and points to > /dev/bus/001/002 (for example) > > I cannot get genesys to use this link, or in other words, scanimage -d > /dev/MyScanner resukts in an error. > > Any Ideas? > > Thank you, > Heinz > > > -- Ing.
