there is some chance, that your device supports "driverless" scanning
using WSD protocol (unfortunately, I was not able to find its user
manual to check by myself).
At this case, there is an independent project, sane-airscan, which
supports WSD scanners:

It makes sense to try it. Precompiled binaries for many distros
available from here:
