Hi Guys,

I have recently been experimenting with a fresh install of Linux Mint
(22.10). In the past I have used Ubuntu for many years and always had
issues with installing scanner drivers for my Brother DCP-J315W. Ubuntu
seemed intent upon changing something every 2 or 3 years rendering Brother
driver instalation tools obsolete.

Usually after many hours trial and error, I would find a solution in
tweaking various configuration files or copying driver files to a new
directory etc.

However, Mint has me stumped. It has a very similar structure to Ubuntu
but something must be different for after trying all my past tweaks, Mint
refuses to find the Brother Drivers.

Do you have a list of tweaks relevant to Mint that I can cross reference to
my Ubuntu list and hopefully spot something different?

Cheers
David Brown
