Hello.
$ scanimage --device-name='airscan:e0:Canon TS5000 series' --format=jpeg > certif.jpg worked as expected but $ scanimage -d 'airscan:e0:Canon TS5000 series' --format=jpeg > certif.jpg failed. The file is void and I get this message: scanimage: open of device airscan:e0:Canon TS5000 series failed: Invalid argument Incidentally: $ scanimage -L gives me device `v4l:/dev/video2' is a Noname Integrated_Webcam_HD: Integrate virtual device device `v4l:/dev/video0' is a Noname Integrated_Webcam_HD: Integrate virtual device device `airscan:e0:Canon TS5000 series' is a eSCL Canon TS5000 series ip=192.168.1.4 and it took me a while to find out that I needed the quotes for this command to work: $ scanimage --help -d 'airscan:e0:Canon TS5000 series' It makes sense, but it might be mentioned in the man page. Also $ scanimage -h -d 'airscan:e0:Canon TS5000 series' fails (with same message as above) which is surprising.
