Hi everyone, The new SANE homepage is now online at http://www.sane-project.org (=http://sane.alioth.debian.org). It was mostly copied from the old page at http://www.mostang.com/sane/. Please have a look at the new page and tell me about wrong/missing information, bad wording and other bugs. Or better yet, fix it. Every project member has write access to the html pages (CVS module "html").
Changes in comparison to mostang.com: - Made all pages (hopefully) HTML-standard-compliant - Added contact link, automatically generated date and author on every page - new mailing lists: sane-announce, sane-commit - more homogeneous design, some pages have a better structure now (hopefully) - new pages about * contributing to SANE * reporting bugs * manufacturer information * SANE license situation * CVS access - Automatically generated HTML list of scanners TODO: * add sanei documentation (currently on sanei.meier-geinitz.de) If possible, generate it automatically with doxygen * add a way to generate daily snapshots of the CVS (that's done by Jochen Eisinger already but it would be easier to do it on alioth itsself) * merge mailman sane-devel archives (I'm waiting for root to do that) * the sane-project.org domain should point to sane.alioth.debian.org by DNS. Currently it's just a redirect which is ugly. But gforge doesn't seem to support vhost currently. * Lots of links in the SANE distribution must be updated. Happy testing, Henning
