Internal compiler errors usually occur when the compiler or the hardware is buggy (e.g. faulty RAM). Which compiler and operating system/distribution do you use? Does it always stop at the same file (try make clean; make)? Usually it's signal 11 (segmentation fault, see http://www.bitwizard.nl/sig11/). Sig 15 is sigterm, so it looks like gcc got a "kill" from something else? At least I'm pretty sure that it's not related to SANE directly. bye, Henning
