So we can either fix the docs or the > code. Okay - I tried to reinvent the wheel :-). I took the sane documentation and tried to write my own saned. I implemented the specs (SANE Network protocol, found on the sane homepage). I didn't work together with the net backend. So I took the original saned source code and had to recognize, that it doesn't confirm with the specs. There were some bugfixes in the saned and this is good but the specs where not updated.
