Maybe on a gentoo list? I haven't seen this happen on my system but i also don't have experience with sysfs and udev so this may cause the problem. If you run "Hotplug-ng" instead of hotplug, also have a look at tools/hotplug-ng/README in the CVS version of SANE. Bye, Henning
