I cannot get sane to work, except once, then when I used image capture, it stopped working and did not work again.
It is found john-does-power-mac-g4:/usr/local/bin becnel$ ./sane-find-scanner -q found SCSI scanner "CANON IX-27025E 1.13" at <01851f000000001736ab60d8> But when I run scanimage: john-does-power-mac-g4:/usr/local/bin becnel$ ./scanimage -T scanimage: no SANE devices found Here is my config for it: john-does-power-mac-g4:/usr/local/etc/sane.d becnel$ cat canon.conf #canon.conf scsi CANON * Scanner #/dev/sg0 john-does-power-mac-g4:/usr/local/bin becnel$ ./scanimage -L No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different, check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages). john-does-power-mac-g4:/usr/local/bin becnel$ ./scanimage -v scanimage: no SANE devices found john-does-power-mac-g4:/usr/local/bin becnel$ I was able to get scans to work with vuescan and silverfast, but for what I am doing would rather use sane.
