Hi Allan ,
Thanks for the response. Here I would want the device to apply the brightness and contrast values rather than XSane after image is retrived from device. Is it possible to tell XSane that brightness and contrast will be applied by the device and XSane should not do it. You should be able to leave them at -60 to +60, and XSANE should scale them to match it's internal requirements. I use -127 to +127 in the fujitsu backend. allan On Fri, Jul 20, 2012 at 8:58 AM, Ganapati Hegde <ganapati.hegde at celstream.com> wrote: Hi , I am looking to add new brightness and contrast range from backend code. If it is possible how can I do this. I am using xsane as my frontend and it supports -100 to +100 range. I need range in -60 to +60. If possible to add new range how it would be different from xsane range. I have tried to add range in backend code but UI will display brightness and contrast in Standard option window and brightness is not working. It would be of great help if I got information on this.
