Hi

i have a small question because for the Canon 4400F, if i look in the code of the genesys backend ( backend/genesys_devices.c ) i can see:

static Genesys_Model canon_4400f_model = {

and other that tend to show the model is supported.

but in ./descriptions/genesys.desc we have:

:model "CanoScan 4400F"
:url "/unsupported/canon-4400.html"
:interface "USB"
:usbid "0x04a9" "0x2228"
:status :unsupported
:comment "GL843 based, to be added to genesys backend"

    Hello,

no this model is no yet supported, what you see is experimental code missing the GENESYS_FLAG_UNTESTED. The man page and desc files are up to date.

Look in 2014 mail archives for mails about the 8400F and 4400F models to have an idea of what work is left to make it operational.

Regards,
    Stef
