Hi All, One more bug report to go.
You would think that programs residing on the same machine as the scanner would use Sane Frontend, but those that are intended for the Enterprise will often use Sane Backends. It other words, they expect to network to sane. PDF Studio is an example of such a program So an really easy fix is to insert localhost into the default installation of /etc/sane.d/saned.conf And into sample configuration file of "man saned" This will save those enterprise software user who are using their scanner on the same machine as their scanner ACRES and ACRES of frustration. And it won't cause any harm to ANYONE else. Many thanks, -T p.s. 127.0.0.1 does not work, but that is a story for another day. -- sane-devel mailing list: sane-devel@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/sane-devel Unsubscribe: Send mail with subject "unsubscribe your_password" to sane-devel-requ...@lists.alioth.debian.org
